I Can Feel a Buzzing Energy Flowing Everywhere, from the Roof of My Mouth to the Tips of My Fingers

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By George Lockett Yes, this is a sign that you are becoming very sensitive to energy and your awareness is turned inwards, to your feelings. The more you put your attention on these subtle energies, the more they will grow and the more conscious you will become. If you would like to have a go at healing, I suggest you start with your partner, or a willing friend. What I would suggest is, just have them sit in a chair and rest your hands on their shoulders. Both of you close your eyes and bring your awareness to what is happening in the energies. Then after a minute or two move the hands so the palms of the hands cover the ears on each side of the head. Again, hold for about a minute, or two or three, until the time feels right to move on. Then put the right hand on the forehead so the palm covers the third eye and the left hand on the back, at the base of the skull; again feel what is happening in the energies. Move the hands down so the thumb and forefinger of the right hand rest on the collarbones, each side of the throat, on the front and the left hand rests on the back at shoulder level. Again, hold a while. Move the hands back to the shoulder each side of the head standing behind the person and hold again; be aware of how you are feeling and the tone of the vibration within. Pay attention to the silence in the room and your breathing. Move the hands to 2 inches/50 mm away from each ear and feel the energy connection to the person you are working on. After a minute or so move the hands closer and farther away from the person’s head. This is basically working in the aura. After a while, say three minutes, gently move the hands out to about 1 ft/300mm away and waddle the fingers to release the energy and move away from the person. Rest for a couple of minutes more before opening the eyes. It is a good idea while doing the healing to visualise roots growing out of your feet and grounding your energy field, so that any stale energy that may have been released, can go down the roots into the Earth for reprocessing. Please think about what you felt and experienced. I am sure you will become very aware of the feeling especially if you work on a few different people. You may notice that each person has a unique vibration. The sensations when you work may change. As you grow in confidence and experience, you will become much more aware of the subtle energies which permeate and surround the human body. The Art of Simple French Cookery

Friday, February 29th, 2008

By Gerry Lewis In preparing delicious french food, it really is worth the effort to spend the little extra money, time and trouble in buying and cooking just the required amount of top-quality food, instead of playing around with an unnecessary amount of the second-best. It should be borne in mind that the presentation of a carefully prepared dish is of considerable importance. For example, it can make a great deal of difference as to how a dish is arranged and set on the table. It can easily be made to look both attractive and appetizing. Lack of interest or imagination will result in the opposite, distressing, effect. In a recently rediscovered gem of a book - “The Art of Simple French Cookery”, a few recipes state that a sauce should be reduced, or cooked gently, until it thickens, Careful and closely watched reduction and blending of a sauce can make all the difference to a dish which, in itself, may have required exacting measurements and preparation. So, surely, as far as sauces are concerned, it is worth both time and trouble to stay in the kitchen and to cook the sauces cautiously without having to go off to attend to other household matters. That little extra patience in the kitchen will also be rewarded if you wish to please your guests by preparing your own Sauce Tomate, Sauce Mayonnaise, Sauce Hollandaise (according to the easy recipes provided in the book) instead of buying tasteless, commercial ‘concentrated’ substitutes. Whenever possible, use dry white wine, wine vinegar, and fresh, unsweetened cream in cooking. And when butter is mentioned, it must be pure butter, and not a substitute. Brillat-Savarin, the celebrated author of “The Physiology of Taste”, claimed that one of the basic principles of cooking was the use, in the kitchen, of the finest quality table butter. The use of herbs and seasoning is also of great importance in both simple and classic French cooking. in “The Art of Simple French Cookery”, the author deliberately avoids naming, or advising the use of bottled flavoring products for these recipes. Instead, he has given the different proportions for various herbs to be employed in their preparation. The judicious use of herbs and seasoning can, and does, make such a difference to soups and stews. Many will be familiar with the great Alexandre Dumaine (one of the greatest French chefs of the 20th century). Two conclusions can be drawn from Alexandre’s remark that “exactness in cooking is difficult to achieve”. One is that the difficulty resides in achieving the exact required result, according to the precise indications in the recipe; the other, that you have to reckon with your own particular taste and that of the family, or of your guests. We are not all born with uniform palates: you may like garlic, others may not; some prefer lemon juice, instead of vinegar, in the salad dressing etc. There must, therefore, remain a margin in the prescribed amount of herbs and seasoning to be used in the preparation of these dishes. Alexandre Dumaine was, indeed, in the opinion of many acclaimed gourmets, the most skilled and inspired chef of his generation in France. Throughout his gastronomic investigations, the author of “The Art of Simple French Cookery” has made the acquaintance of most of the well-known chefs in Paris and throughout France. But none he had known were as impassioned with their culinary pursuit as Dumaine. During the numerous discussions they had together, concerning both simple and classic French cooking, he reiterated, with great solemnity that commanded respect, that for him “their existed no finer profession”. Further information about this amazing book (”The Art of Simple French Cookery”) can be obtained via the Resource Box appended to this article. We at Kersland Direct scour the globe, on behalf of our readers, for the very finest informational products and resources. Is The Jabra Bt800 Bluetooth Headset For Cell Phones Any Good?

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Ray]John Ray This highly anticipated Bluetooth headset has some head turning features. When we heard about the new features of the jabra bt800 we just couldnt wait to try this one out for ourselves. You first notice an elegant silver and black finish and a blue lit LCD screen. A new feature that we havent seen before is the caller ID display which is located on the inside of the device to keep others around you from reading it when you are on a call. The mini LCD screen gives you the ability to see who is calling and be able to cycle through recently received calls. Although you can use this feature to call back the last number that you received, you cannot check your phonebook or call back old number in your call log. The caller ID feature works flawlessly even when tested at the full 30 feet Bluetooth maxes out at. Having a call display feature on the Bluetooth head set really frees yourself from your cell phone. Pairing is somewhat of a taunting task. Jabra states in the manual the primary way of pairing the handset to a Bluetooth cell phone is with a tiny port near the multifunction button. While the primary pairing method works fine you have to use a styles to press the tiny port, and to carry it with you at all times is absurd. There is a second way to pair the device with the jabra Bluetooth menu. As you may have noticed this with jabra Bluetooth head sets that this is a lot different from the BT250 behind the ear style. Jabra has gone back to the traditional design of sitting over the ear. The design the jabra bt800 uses is very comfortable and worked fine while doing very active activities, such as jogging or biking. Sound quality was excellent. Inbound sounds were sharp and crisp and the people on the other end of the conversation reported to hear us very clearly. Features: LCD Digital Caller ID on the Headset DSP - For enhanced clarity and quality Vibrate Mode 5 Distinctive Ring Tones Bluetooth software version 1.2 which is backward and forward with older and yet to be released versions Dedicated Pairing button Last number Redial Works up to 33 feet away from phone or Device Pros Cool backlit LCD screen for caller id Comfortable Vibrates Cons Pairing can be annoying Specifications Company: Jabra Model: BT800 Height: 1 in Weight: 0.8 oz Width: 2.7 in Depth: 1.3 in Alternatives If you are interested in this type of Bluetooth head set check out these alternatives. How Vacuum Formed Molds Are Made

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

By Delmar Germyn I am going to try to tell you in as few words as possible, how vacuum formed molds are made. The first step is making the “buck”. This is the name of the piece that the forming will be done over. This has to be smooth, strong, heat resistant, and free of undercuts. The smooth part is self explanatory. The strong part is so that it will not be crushed when the plastic is being formed over it. The heat resistant part is because the plastic is at about 300 degrees F. And no undercuts is so that you will be able to get your piece out of the mold without having to cut the mold off. All these are of equal importance. They all must be done, and done right! This is the time consuming part of making the molds. Once this has been done the buck is placed on he table of the vacuum forming machine. The blank piece of plastic is clamped into its frame and heated. As soon as the plastic has reached it flow temperature it is pressed down onto the buck and vacuum is applied at the same time. The plastic forms over the buck and cools. This takes about 15 seconds! Once it has cooled (about 30 seconds) you pop the buck out, take the plastic out of its clamp frame and trim out the mold! That’s it!! Copyright 2005 Delmar Germyn All Rights Reserved. Martial Artist Says Go For The Eyes!

Monday, February 25th, 2008

By Dr. Gary S. Goodman When I was a kid, there was such a thing as fighting fairly, and fighting unfairly. Fists were fair, but maybe not to the face. Kicks were unfair, aimed anywhere. And throwing sand or dirt in someones eyes was, well, an unforgivable breach of etiquette! Given the violence in todays schools and streets, and the unconscionable conduct of the people who inflict it, these rules seem quaint, to say the least. Nobody stops his side of a battle because the other guys shoe flew off and needs to be put on, so hell be able to move gracefully, and politely continue. So, you need to get over the idea, that most decent folks foster, that there is a nice way and a not nice way to save your life. This doesnt mean you have the legal or moral right to go ballistic when a stranger innocently bumps into you in an elevator or grocery line. It means, when you believe your life is being threatened; you can use whatever force is necessary to defend it. I say this as a martial artist and as a lawyer. So, whats a great weapon to use? And whats an ideal target at which to aim? Your fingers are awesome weapons, not because theyre strong or heavy. Theyre great because theyre at the end of your arms; you can project them, and theyre nimble enough to be aimed at small spaces. The best small spaces are those two near the top of a bad guys head: his eyes. Anything that invades the eyes, including the tiniest, wind-propelled piece of debris, is devastating, for just a second, to every human being. And thats all the time you need to run away, or to call for help. Minimally, thats what a poke to the eye will do. If the assailant is about to knife you or is cutting off your air supply, stiffen your fingers upon making contact with the eyes, and it will probably end any threat against you, right away! Goodman, President of Customersatisfaction.com, is a popular keynote speaker, management consultant, and seminar leader and the best-selling author of 12 books, including Reach Out & Sell Someone and Monitoring, Measuring & Managing Customer Service, and the audio program, The Law of Large Numbers: How To Make Success Inevitable, published by Nightingale-Conant. Lunesta Withdrawal

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ian_Mason] Ian Mason Lunesta is a newly released sleeping pill. Marketed as a revolutionary sleep aid, Lunesta is the only medication approved by the FDA for long term treatment of insomnia symptoms. Although Lunesta is a quality medicine that has already helped many people cure their insomnia symptoms and get a better night’s sleep, there is something you should know before your buy Lunesta. Some people taking sleep medicines such as Lunesta, Ambien and Sonata develop dependence over a long period of time. This means that with long-term use of sleep aids, our bodies may get used to having the medicine. When we stop taking it suddenly, we may experience unpleasant effects, called withdrawal symptoms. Lunesta is not a highly addictive substance, but as with anything you get used to, it is usually hard to suddenly give it up. Your doctor will help you gradually lower your dosage until you can stop taking Lunesta without experiencing withdrawal. Now that you know about the possibility of dependence on Lunesta, let’s go over the withdrawal symptoms you might experience if you stop treatment suddenly. The most common symptoms are just unpleasant feelings. No other withdrawal symptoms were experienced by people involved in the clinical trials. However, we know that other similar sleeping aids such as Ambien and Sonata can very rarely cause some more serious symptoms of withdrawal. These may include stomach and muscle cramps, vomiting, sweating, jitteriness, and in only a few reported cases, seizures. The best way to relieve these worries is to talk it all over with your doctor to make sure Lunesta is right for you. Copyright 2004, 2005 Ian Mason, Shoppe.MD research team. Sarbanes Oxley Act SOX and Not the Ones on Your Feet!

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

By Earl Powers Sarbanes Oxley Act falls under ‘Corporate and Auditing Accountability, Responsibility, and Transparency Act’ or ‘CAARTA’ act which was passed by the US Senate Banking Committee with the support of President Bush. This act was passed to strengthen corporate governance and improve investor confidence. Sarbanes Oxley Act ensured the accuracy and reliability of disclosures from the corporate world. This came into force to avoid any financial scandals from corporate giants. Sarbanes Oxley Act is more often known as SOX or Sarbox but is actually officially termed as Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act of 2002. It is the single most important piece of legislation that affects the corporate governance, financial disclosures and the practice of public accounting. Sarbanes Oxley Act prevents the large corporate giants to commit and financial frauds. This act also punished such corporate that showcase irregularities in their financial accountings. After the Sarbanes Oxley Act came into affect is strengthened investor confidence as this law bring the defaulters to justice and protects the interest of workers and shareholders. According the Sarbanes Oxley Act the large companies need to meet the financial reporting and certification mandates for any year end financial statements. This act is organized into 11 titles but in actual case only subset of these titles relate to the compliance to the complete law. Sarbanes Oxley Act established new standards for corporate boards and audit committees. This law implements criminal penalties on large corporate companies for defaulting and sets new accountability standards. Sarbanes Oxley Act gives more freedom the external auditors to set new standards of governance. This act also issues accounting standards and oversees public accounting firms. With the increase of regulatory norms, more and more companies are coming under the scrutiny of Federal government. Those companies that specially obtain lists and store personal information come under special scrutiny of Sarbanes Oxley Act. Lately, there had been review stating that Sarbanes Oxley Act has been too stringent on the companies. The most talked about section of the Sarbanes Oxley Act is the Section 404 which seeks to enhance reliability of internals controls over financial reporting. These tightened internal control implemented as a result of Sarbanes Oxley Act has lead strains on companies as well as the accounting firms. A proper regulatory framework with more stringent rules and a company with proper internal regulatory body delivers the most accurate and transparent financial reporting. This law is administered by Securities and Exchange Commission. This body sets rules and deadlines for the compliance and published rules on the requirements. The three rules of Sarbanes Oxley Act regulate the management of electronic records. The first rule refers to the falsification, destruction and alteration of records. The second rule states the retention of records by any company so as to how long the records should be stored. The third rule refers to the type of business records that need to be stored. A total comprehensive study of the Sarbanes Oxley Act and its implementation by the corporate bodies deliver the most transparent and factual financial records for the company. There’s Never A Bad Time For A Great Sales Promotion

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

By Jim Logan I love spring! The warm days, sunshine, fresh flowersit’s a welcome relief from colder, shorter, wetter winter months. Plus, it’s a built-in great opportunity for a sales promotion! From March 21 - June 20, you can run a promotion targeted at both existing and new customers. There’s never a bad time for a great sales promotion and spring is real-made for such an event. There are two broad elements of a good promotion to remain mindful of: time and reward. Time limit your promotions to create an urgency to act and include a reward to benefit those that act within the time you offer. For example, you can offer a spring promotion whereby a new customer gets a discount or a premium added to their order if placed between March 21 and June 20. I prefer to offer a reward as opposed to giving discounts. Rewards preserve the value of your product or service and don’t set a precedent of a lower price for an established offering. Get creative with the rewards you offer as purchase incentives. What I do is take the value of the discount I’m comfortable giving and use that as a budget for the premium I offer. For example, if you are in the business of selling outdoor gear, you could run a spring promotion to sell kayaks. Let’s say the average price of the kayaks you sell are $1000 and you’re comfortable discounting the kayaks 20%. You could take $200 and apply it to premiums to reward purchases within your promotion period. You could include paddles and helmet, pay for kayaking lessons, include a river pass, partner with a travel agency to discount a kayaking vacation, include monthly subscriptions to outdoor magazines, pay for entry fees to a local event, etc. The possibilities are endless! This concept can be used for any product or service, it doesn’t make any difference if you’re selling kayaks for $1000 or telecom equipment and services for $1M. Promotions certainly aren’t limited to seasons, any occasion can be made a promotion - anniversary, goofy holiday, birthday, business eventyou name it. System Administrator Appreciation Day can be a promotion event. Again, the possibilities are endless! Pull out your customer and prospect lists, package an offering with a premium to reward action, announce the promotion with a press release, direct mail, web-site, email campaigns, etc. Get enthused and celebrate! Let your imagination run wild! I love spring! Jim Logan is a direct response marketer that writes, speaks, and consults on the topic of businesses making more money. Fish Finders - How Can I Find Those Elusive Catches?

Friday, February 15th, 2008

By Mike Singh Aside from your rod and your tackle, there are few pieces of fishing equipment today that are more productive or important than fish finders. Known by the Military as sonar, the fish finder concept was originally developed by the United States Navy 75 years ago to detect the presence of elusive and dangerous enemy submarines. Today this wonderful tool allows anglers to locate where the fish may be hiding at any given moment. Fish finders also allow the angler to track the movement of a school of fish that they would otherwise not even know were moving at all. One of the best aspects of finders is that there is no limit on the size or shape of the boat you are using. This means that you could use finders on massive vessels, or very small one-man boats that are merely for leisure. When you need to attach the finders to a boat, it is a very simple process, making for far less fuss time and far more tracking time. The finders generally have an instrument that looks like a thermometer that drops into the water on a wire or cord. What is transmitted from that tool that you place in the water is posted on the fish finders screen demonstrating the layout and depth of the lakebed or other water bodies lower depths. There are many great fish finders on the market today, that will allow the angler the opportunity to search for the elusive catch by way of sonar tracking. What this means is that when you use finders you can see fish below the boat, or if they are moving you will be able to track their movements and perhaps intercept them at another location. This method of tracking fish with the use of finders has made the fishing industry a very strong and resourceful field. Not only are the average anglers using fish finders to locate fish, so too are the larger fishing companies that rake in mass amounts of fish on a daily basis for purpose of market sales to the general public. This form of sonar now known as fish finders can be purchased at just about any outdoors shops, where tackle, rods, reels, and various other fishing gear is sold. The finders depending on the class and features can be purchased at relatively cheap prices and more often than not will serve as a great tool for your fishing trip.
